Tardis Smoke House Saga - the begining......

First off - Do you think they cold get any dirtier? You know Dr. Who would never be seen under dressed and sweaty, but I bet he never had the notion to smoke meat, in fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Dr. Who eat…..wonder if he ever visits the Food Network….

Back to Cherylwood now…

Starting with a love of pastrami, bacon and sausage...and of course that DIY notion deeply inset into our brains.......and hearts.....and the very fact that Kevin recently traded for a whole hog..........let's experiment with our own smoked meat ideas!

So appeared our Tardis Smoke House! It sits near the garden shed Kevin built and front of the carport he built...

As you can imagine, once again Kevin started with an idea (no blueprints) and began building with the fall off wood from the sawmill. Our Tardis stands at least 9 1/2 feet tall, not including the grey bricks.

Get your own Tardis and make your own out of this world meat, or maybe for a garden shed, pretty out house….4 flat walls, 1 tin roof for $300.00, (assembly, delivery and blocks not included) contact us for
availability……

p.s. we welcome your favorite recipes......and we'll keep the fire going....

August up date

House update

This is the last beam to the house.  It is is on the back deck.  Next I need to finish the deck floor and the set the headers for the deck roof, finish the roof and then finish the house siding

August drawing

I got a load of red cedar and I don't have a pick to put up but I have a couple of projects in mind, so this month the drawing will be surprise project

Our Garden

Started picking grapes a few days ago and got a large bowl full, yesterday we picked over five gallons. Today we are going to turn the grapes into juice so we can later make jelly and syrup. No wine, my wine pallet is rather expensive and I dont have the knowledge to produce a wine I would like. So we will stick with jelly and syrup for the pancakes and waffles. That will take a little out of my grocery bill
